Useless Woman: Maame-Yaa Aforo plays title character, a disillusioned woman seeking help from an A.I. Therapist to figure out how she got broken. Was it her overbearing Ghanaian auntie’s words of warning? Was it all the Dateline episodes? Was it the man whose head looked like Shrek? Or was it the man who thought his (fill in the blank) was small? The audience gets to be a fly on the wall as Useless woman seeks help in understanding how her attempt to be a perfect woman led her to two abusive relationships and the belief that she is a useless woman. This musical comedy will make you laugh, think, and maybe shed like one tear.
