Meet some of the world’s most interesting people as the hottest comics, improvisers, and media personalities in town face off in a battle of wits to see who was actually paying attention in class. Two teams of three will answer trivia and play games as they are quizzed by a world-renowned expert in their field. Come for a night of laughter, learning, tough questions, witty repartee, and some silly games that have little to do with any of the above.
This month’s topic: Drugs! Our expert is Professor Benjamin Breen, a historian of science and medicine and an Associate Professor of History at UC Santa Cruz. He is the author of two books: The Age of Intoxication: Origins of the Global Drug Trade and Tripping on Utopia: Margaret Mead, the Cold War, and the Troubled Birth of Psychedelic Science.
Expect audience participation, prizes, and leaving a little bit smarter (and happier) than when you came in! It’s never been more fun to cut class!
