Rachel Van Nes was born and raised on an almond farm in Modesto, CA, consistently ranked in the Top 10 Most Miserable Cities in the US on account of all the car theft, drugs, and murder. She’s come a long way (eh, about 300 miles) and now writes for television. Rachel was most recently staffed on NETFLIX’S INSIDE JOB S2 and has been published in Reductress, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, and The New Yorker. In her spare time, Rachel aspires to be a soup witch.
