John Tan is a Philippines-born, Los Angeles-raised comedy writer. Currently a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade Maude team LOVESEAT, he previously wrote for the IO West (RIP) sketch team JUNE’S CLEAVER, the Acme Comedy sketch team THE BABES, and THE COLOR COLLECTIVE. He was part of the writer’s room for the 2018 CBS Diversity Sketch Showcase and a semi-finalist for the 2023 Disney Writing Fellowship. His professional goal is to one day have a subreddit dedicated to hating him. His non-professional goal is to own a dishwasher.
