LA SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN
Maude Teams are UCB’s sketch comedy teams formed through an annual audition and generally consist of six writers and six performers.
Maude Teams write, rehearse, and perform a brand new sketch comedy show every single month. Auditions for Maude Night occur annually. Maude Teams are expected to put up shows featuring polished, funny, UCB-style, game-based sketch comedy. Every Maude Team member is expected to boldly bring their unique voice and sense of humor to shows. Eligibility for writers and actors will be announced during the next round of auditions.
Writer Requirements: You must have completed UCB’s Sketch 201 course before the submission process closes.
Maude Performer Requirements: You must have completed UCB’s Character 101 course or have completed two performance-based UCB courses (Improv, Character, etc) before the submission process closes.
All current and former Harold, Lloyd, Maude, and Characters Welcome at UCBTLA or UCBTNY are eligible to submit as a writer or performer.
IDEAL FOR
Writers and performers passionate about sketch comedy, looking to create and perform new material monthly.
PERFORMER REQUIREMENTS
Completion of Character 101 course or have completed two performance-based UCB courses (Improv, Character, etc).
WRITER REQUIREMENTS
Completion of UCB´s Sketch 201 course.
AUDITION

Rehearsal & Performance
Weekly sketch production, mandatory attendance at all meetings and rehearsals.

CHARACTER / BETTY TEAM
Character teams developing 3-5 minute character pieces for monthly shows.
IDEAL FOR
Performers interested in character work and creating unique, game-based character pieces for a live audience.
REQUIREMENTS
Completion of Character 101 or any two performance-based UCB courses.

IMPROV COMEDY / LLOYD TEAM
Junior varsity counterpart to Harold Teams focusing on improv.

Emerging talent in improv seeking to develop their skills and gain performance experience.
