CLOWN BOSS is a free jam and show — moderated and live directed by the Clown Boss himself, Chad Damiani. Total newcomers are welcome to play — as well as students who’ve taken one or both of Chad’s UCB DISRUPTOR classes. Take the stage and play simple games designed to illustrate the nature of modern clown work.
The jam takes place from 7:30-9:30pm — and is followed by a short show, featuring clowns at all levels presenting work (the show is also FREE).
NOTE: Clown work can be physical and plays with elements of risk. Chad often teases students to create a sense of danger. In order to explore these elements safely and joyfully, newcomers must be present for Chad’s safety speech. This will happen after the initial warm-up, then again around the halfway point of the jam.
